Welcome to a little about me.
I’m Natalie, and I’m an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. I consider myself a warm and empathetic person, with a genuine compassion for others. My therapeutic style is person-centred and is grounded in evidence-based practices. I recognise that everyone’s journey is unique, and I’m here to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I’ve been fortunate to work with individuals, families and young people who are navigating various mental health challenges.
At its core, therapy is about guiding people back to themselves, fostering healing, growth, and ability to thrive. I see it as a privilege and a meaningful responsibility to accompany individuals on their recovery. I also enjoy bringing in elements of lightness, ease, and humour during sessions.
My therapeutic approach draws from an array of frameworks, including Attachment Theory, Person-Centred Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). My experience spans both inpatient and clinical community care settings, helping to shape my understanding and skills of recovery and relapse prevention, psychosocial intervention, and knowledge of external referral pathways to other specialist organisations.
Engaging in therapy provides a chance to clarify your needs, develop helpful resources and practical skills, celebrate your strengths, and feel both supported and empowered as you move forward. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting and even a bit overwhelming, but my goal is to create a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment for you.
I look forward to meeting you.
REFERRAL PATHWAYS
-
NH health offers therapy through the Medicare Better Access Program for clients. You might be eligible for a referral for a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, which would allow you to receive a Medicare rebate. Together with your GP, you can determine your eligibility for this plan. The Medicare rebate covers up to ten sessions each calendar year.
-
NH Health offers therapy services under the NDIS. For details on this process, please reach out to us. We are here to support you in preparing for, understanding, and navigating the NDIS.
-
If you have a chronic medical condition, you may be eligible for a CPDM referral from your GP. This referral allows you to have up to five sessions per calendar year with an allied health professional.
-
Self-funded sessions are paid in full, without a referral required. The cost of self-funded sessions vary by the type of services provided.
